It all started back in 1989 when a few people had the vision to start a Christian Church in Baker County.   With the help of members of First Christian of Lake Butler, a phone campaign started with the goal of calling every phone# in the county.  This call told them about the plans for bringing a Christian Church to Macclenny and inviting them to attend if they didn't have a church home.   While this was happening families began home Bible studies.  The day finally came when the church had it's first official worship.  The Macclenny Woman's Club was rented each Sunday, "Which meant members would sometimes spend late Saturday nights cleaning up from events so it would be ready for Sunday morning.."  Art Peterson, minister of First Christian Church of Lake Butler, would drive over early to preach the message, before having to head back.

The Church continued to grow and property was purchased.  A small piece of property with a building already on it was purchased  behind the Aardvark Video store.  The building was formerly a Karate Studio.  Renovations were made and the building transformed into what was know as the "Little White Church with the Picket Fence." Freddie Smith Jr. was called to preach.   Many happy times were shared as the Church continued to grow.  Later Doug Allen was called to preach, and began part time.  The Church continued to grow and step out in faith and brought the preacher on full time.

The time came when the church needed to move to a bigger site, and the search for property was on.  A piece of land was purchased on top of the hill between Macclenny and Glen St. Mary.  This piece of land needed major work, being that it had all kinds of debre on it.  Old stacks of tires, piles of glass bottles, three abandoned buildings, etc.  If it was trash, it was there.   The Church had many work days to clear the property and get it ready for construction.  The  new building would be multipurpose with worship, fellowship hall, and education rooms.  The church celebrated dedication day on October 8, 2001 and the building was full.

Today we use the same building but in 2008 completed a Fellowship, Youth and Education building.  Two stories tall to accomodate many activities.
